For the record, I don’t think it’s correct (or at very least, it is disputed and to the best of my knowledge has never been confirmed) that “some gonzo followed Musk and his kid, X@#69!!!, from an airport.” The details are a little hazy in my mind at this point, but I do recall reports that this was not in fact the case (also, and this part I’m pretty certain about, Musk himself was not present). The point being that it’s not at all clear that @elonjet had *anything at all* to do with the incident.
Really enjoyed this entry, Kate - by the way, I got here via your link on Mastodon. I am just about to start my own Substack thingie, and the title of yours almost tempts me to call mine "The Kornicles," but I'm gonna stick with "But Not Enough About Me." Love the tone of your writing, also love the linking of Star Trek & Orwell & Foucault, the two-eyed photo of you & Nena, Joan Larkin's awesome poem, your outstanding crocheted frog, the fact that you can casually allude to regular contact with Benjamin Wittes, and your mysterious ability to add special features for paid subscribers (which I will attempt to learn to emulate). Rock on!
Thanks for doing this. I'm still going through major ILOF withdrawal.
Me too!
Just the Nena pics make it worthwhile. Thanks

Did you ever watch 'Rumpole of the Bailey'?

You are too kind. Loved that you loved it and can’t wait to see what you come up with!
